The curriculum vitae, better known as a “resume”, is often the most important document for companies. So take your time while making it and pay enough attention to the details.

With these tips & tricks you’ll definitely make the perfect resume!

What should be in there?

First of all, your future employer should know who you are, so make a summary of your personal data:

Secondly, you give some more information according your education and work experience. Explain what you’ve studied, where you did your internship and where you’ve worked before.

Giving references like your former internship mentor or your former employer, is an extra advantage. Your possible future employer could contact these people and ask them all about your capacities.

Next, you give a score and sum up your skills like IT-knowledge and the languages you speak.

Your passion

Showing passion for the job you want to obtain is crucial, especially in the fashion business. Besides you, there are thousands of other girls that would love to get the same job. So, it’s very important to show enough interest.

Tell your possible future employer what your working on and what makes you enthusiastic. Tip: Show this by giving examples, so they can visualise it.

You shouldn’t just focus on your professional career in your resume. It’s interesting and fun for an employer to get to know more about the real you. What’s in it for them?

Sending your resume without a motivation letter, is a no go. Employers wants to know what’s in it for them. So, it’s crucial to put enough time and effort in this motivation letter. Show them who you are, why they should pick you and why you want to work in this company.
